He was the quiet one, the one who did as he was told and didn’t ask questions. He was a tool.
He provided feedback for the Führer’s speeches, but in meetings, sat in a corner - he didn’t have an opinion. They thought him a coward, scared shitless by the real work they did out there, ridding the world of the Jewish menace.
They weren’t there when the Führer asked his opinion on the Russian operation, when he encouraged him to invade.
Russia was the first step.
Nobody realized when Germany fell, it was largely due to the Führer’s silent secretary.
